You've learned your basic soldiering skills.
Now learn how to LEAD THE WAY!The Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) is
designed to commission prior-enlisted soldiers into the National
Guard and Army Reserve.
You will continue to
serve part time--one weekend per month and two weeks each
year--with your unit while going to school full time. As a
cadet, you become a soldier in training--a non-deployable asset
until you graduate and receive your commission.
|
Cadets learn to be Platoon Leaders and
gain valuable experience leading troops and making command
decisions--qualities that many employers look for!
As an SMP Cadet, you
could be earning approximately $1,200/month without getting a job after all of
your classes!

about leading troops through your involvement with your unit.
You may even be put into leadership positions within your unit!
