The Nurse
Summer Training Program (NSTP) is a paid elective during a
summer between college courses. You will report to an Army hospital
within the United States or Germany for clinical training, working in
areas such as medical-surgical wards, intensive care units, and
emergency departments giving you the opportunity to develop your
leadership and nursing skills. The NSTP will introduce you to the
Army's Medical Department (AMEDD) and the roles and responsibilities of an Army
Nurse Corps Officer. |
Emphasis is placed on
hands-on training and you will be supervised by your preceptor, an
experienced
Army Nurse Corps Officer who will work with you one-on-one
throughout your training.
